LDA Minnesota’s Teacher Prep & Licensure Program is looking for an Instructor for our Math Strategies Course that is delivered from September through December 2020. The course meets 15 times over the semester and will follow the syllabus approved for LDA’s program.
The purpose of this course is to prepare students to teach mathematics to students with mild disabilities in K-12 school. Students will acquire skills that will enable them to use Minnesota State Standards as a basis for instructional programming in mathematics. The focus of this course will be to prepare teacher candidates to be able to participate in mixed ability classrooms, co-teach, or provide small group intensive math instruction to students in special education.
Qualified applicants will have a Master’s or Doctorate degree in education, a current teaching license, experience and coursework mathematics, special education, general education, or curriculum and instruction, and at least 5 years teaching in the field.
