You’ve completed the application, figured out financial aid, found a place to live and they are ready to launch. And then the phone call comes, “I have a cold, what do I do?”
Preparing your child means more than handing off an insurance card. It’s about educating them about what will happen at their first office visit without you! There will be forms to sign and bills to be paid. Will they know what to do? This education session is dedicated to answering questions you might not know you had about preparing both you and your child for college. We’ll discuss:
- What should they expect when they get to the doctor’s office? (insurance, networks, forms)
- Beneficiaries, health care directives, and emergency contacts
- Privacy issues – providers, insurance, banking, school
- Medical records – how are medical records transferred? Who can request information?
Each participant will receive a tip sheet, a free 20-minute phone consultation with the presenter, and a surprise gift!
Our presenter, Kimberly Dahline, is the Document Diva.
