Volunteering
LDA Minnesota values the work volunteers are contributing to help our students
improve their skills in addition to assisting the agency in achieving its mission
and goals. Volunteers help as board members, advisory committee members, tutoring
assistants, reading & math "buddies", special event workers, and clerical support
staff.
LDA is seeking Transition Program Mentors!
LDA is seeking individuals who would like to work with high school youth in
our school-to-work Transition Connections program. Read more about being a mentor
in the job description.

LDA is seeking administrative volunteers
LDA is in need of volunteers to assist with light office
work including data entry, mail assembly, and filing.

LDA is seeking board
members for 2007
LDA welcomes individuals from varying backgrounds, skills and experiences. At
present, LDA is committed to expanding its diversity; people of color are strongly
encouraged to apply.
Roles and responsibilities
- Develop strategic direction
- Establish and monitor board policy
- Maintain fiduciary responsibility
- Financially support LDA and assist in fund raising
- Promote LDA within your personal and professional network and the community
- Attend board meetings
- Participate in board committee work
- Provide advice and counsel in your area of expertise
Time commitment
- Bi-monthly board meetings
- Committee work
- Renewable three-year terms
