How Your Books Can Help

Recent studies show that in middle class neighborhoods there are 13 books per child, while in low-income neighborhoods there is only one book for every 300 children.

Your donation of new or gently-used* books will make a difference in the lives of children who struggle with literacy throughout the inner-city Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Book Drive Toolkit

Each year LDA Minnesota distributes books to more than 700 low-income students whose families cannot afford these books on their own. Especially during the summer and winter break months, your books will help maintain a child’s reading level to ensure they do not fall further behind!

Help us reach our annual goal of 4,600 books and provide a needy child with the ability to reach his/her learning potential throughout the year.
